Forum Rules and Policies

All information you provide is considered public and accessible by all.

You agree not to use this forum to disseminate material which is vulgar, defamatory, threatening, endangering the privacy of others or in violation of the law. You also agree not to post content that violates the current legislation on copyright.

You are solely responsible for the content of your messages and clear the responsibilities of all officials of this forum if a complaint were to be filed due to a message published by you. In this event, you allow those responsible for this forum to reveal any information about you.

Although the messages and their contents are not the responsibility of officials of the Forum, they reserve the right to edit or delete a message without justification or notice. If you do find any posts Forum is offensive, please contact officials of the Forum by e-mail.

The basic rules:

Here are some basic rules that must at all times be respected:

1) The bandwidth is not unlimited. Do not overload the forum by an abusive and / or unnecessary use.

2) Think about the person behind the machine. In fact, it is true that by connecting computers, Internet also connects people with their respective sensitivity and culture.

3) Do not abuse your power.t is not because we can do something that one has the right to do so and not because one has the right to do something that it must do so or even that it is desirable.

4) Remember that the forums are not lawless areas and that one is rarely completely anonymous. You are supposed to comply with laws (copyright, illegal information, protection of human integrity).

5) Behave to others as you would expect them to behave to you. This"morality" rule is also valid on the forums.

6) Following these simple rules will make it easier for the other users to accept you .

Recommended Readings

1) First of all, you should not just only use the names of forums to get by. Browse the forums and see what they deal with ;)

2) When you access a message, the first thing to do is read! Yes, take the time to read the messages, do not go too fast. This will limit all the misinterpretations and useless answers.

3) Begin by attending the forums. Using Cavomatic also implies learning and spending some time reading documents that were prepared before your arrival, including the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) that try to answer common questions on a given topic.

Writing Tips (technical)

1) The title of your message ("subject" line) must be as explicit as can be in terms of content so that users of the forum will decide whether or not to view your entire message ... and, perhaps, respond. Avoid overly broad topics like "Help !!!".

2) When you respond to a message using the "Reply" button, the contribution comes inserted in the thread of conversation. If the text of the message is accepted, we reduce the quotations to try and go straight to the point. In some cases a response by private message or email may be preferable (especially when it comes to settle personal quarrels).

3) It is not advisable to write sentences in CAPITAL letters as it may look like you're shouting in the conversation. This is also understood as trying to artificially attract attention and thus likely to be ignored and deleted!

4) The signature at the bottom of a message should contain only a few lines.

5) It does not send a message in multiple forums.

Writing Tips (ethics)

1) Soak in the atmosphere of the forum before posting your first message. What are the key people? What should I say and what should I avoid writing ? Try to find out everything about people's personalities through what they write... This usually takes up to 2 to 3 weeks ;).

2) Remember that the financial cost is essentially borne by those who read you. Therefore, messages should be as light as possible (by weight on the network, of course). It is frowned upon, for example, to quote the sixty lines of a previous message, adding "me too" and followed by a signature of 12 lines.

3) For similar reasons, we do not water the network messages towards personal financial enrichment and advertising messages do not belong here (except in very special cases).

4) The communication proxy machines is a unique experience and more difficult than it seems at first sight. Impersonal communication, partial or full anonymity of those who communicate, lack of physical reality can be so many causes of slippages. Courtesy, cooperative spirit, a little reflection can, in most cases, avoid them.

5) Do not mention the title of a message, the name of a member on the forums. Be aware that informality is common on the forum, and that formality may be a sign of distrust or at least distance.

6) To overcome the shortcomings of your physical presence and to soften the words of a person, "Smileys" are widely used, the most common one being : " :) " .They are generally used to indicate that a paragraph quoted below or above must be interpreted in the second degree.

7) Participating in the various Cavomatic forums is a personal experience which can be exciting, but is also a social and public experience . Bear in mind that the exchanges are kept for several months on the server and stored in need be.

8) Everyone should therefore watch the content of their exchanges and bear in mind that by posting a comment they become an editor, and that it is very easy to retrieve the "editorial policy" of the latter for better ... and for worse!
